NYC shock-metal act MZZTR are set to roll out their debut EP Pronounced MIS-TER.
Equal parts theater, chaos and sonic violence, MZZTR exists for one reason – to make music dangerous again. This truly unique band is a masked middle finger to the era of polished algorithms and personalities that consume modern culture.
This is showcased by the official music video for “Silence Won’t Protect You.” A nü metal inspired anthem for the slow burn apocalypse, the track captures repression, urgency and defiance. The music video, shot on a Hi8 camcorder, pays homage to early 2000s MTV aesthetics and found footage horror classics like The Blair Witch Project blending raw, nostalgic visuals with an unsettling edge.
