The long-awaited album, now available worldwide on Bandcamp, features ten evocative new tracks and performances by Razor alongside several highly respected guest musicians. It draws listeners into a cinematic realm shaped by atmospheric intensity, intricate arrangements, and deeply personal storytelling.
The songs began in 2015 during Razor’s participation in the Immersion Composition Society in Oakland, California, an underground collective where composers create intensively within a single day. At her first session, Razor surprised fellow participants by debuting a fully produced and mixed piece rather than a rough sketch. Two of those early works ultimately evolved into tracks on Eye of the Clarion.
Influenced by the emotional depth and poetic storytelling of early progressive rock, Razor approaches music as an immersive visual and emotional journey rather than simple entertainment. Eye of the Clarion explores themes of melancholy, loss, truth, inner awakening, and ancestral pain hidden beneath cultural masks, a world where missed moments linger, where speaking one’s truth is both dangerous and necessary, and where imagination becomes sound.
