Catching up on another 2024 release. PSB has done a series of concept albums, each about a specific historical subject. Their latest opus “The Last Flight” chronicles the last flight of Amilia Erhart who disappeared during her attempt at an around the world flight in 1937. This is the band’s fifth album and as in the past they use recordings from audio archives to help tell the story.
I always feel like PSB albums come across like the soundtrack to a documentary and this album has that same feel. Along with the 4 main musicians they include female vocalist Andreya Casablanca who plays a pivotal role on the album. This is grand conceptual historical prog rock at it’s most coherent. Another great album from this band.
