After seven years of silence following her award-winning progressive metal work “Red Lion,” Oh. returns with a prayer.
Greek multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Olivia Hadjiioannou, aka Oh., returns with her new single, “I Pray for Love,” a 3:36 ballad that fuses orchestral intimacy with progressive tension and emotional force.
The single will be released on June 27, 2025, across all major streaming platforms, followed by its premiere on YouTube on June 30. The film is a visionary tapestry woven with OpenAI’s Sora under Oh.’s direction and fuses over 380 handwritten prompts and her own image into a mythic visual world.
Before its public premiere, the film has already received international attention with Award Winner at the 7th Bridges International Film Festival in Greece, Nominee at Toronto’s Alternative Film Festival (AltFF), and Nominee at the Europe Music Video Awards which recognize its innovative approach to human-AI creative collaboration.
The song, composed, performed, and produced entirely by Oh., opens with resonant vocals, met by cello, the hush of piano, and stirring violins that build slowly into a radiant, soaring moment that rises from fragility to fullness in under four minutes.
The accompanying short film pushes creative boundaries in AI filmmaking. Oh. directed the film by refining detailed text prompts across 80 hours in OpenAI’s Sora. Using only still images of herself, she guided this human-AI collaboration to generate animated sequences that captured her likeness, movement, and emotional expression. The result is a series of surrealist ritual scenes and a visual arc that mirrors the track’s emotional journey.
Oh.’s career is distinguished by artistic risk and critical acclaim. She debuted in 2013 with the 24-minute epic “Sleeping World,” then earned 14 international film festival awards for her progressive metal EP “Metallia” and its video “Red Lion.” She has consistently integrated cutting-edge technology with profound artistic expression, from pioneering 360° VR videos and interactive WebGL experiences to haunting, award-winning art ballads. “I Pray for Love” continues this legacy, merging ancient myth with future tech to explore themes of inner beauty and spiritual awakening.

About Olivia Hadjiioannou (Oh.)
Olivia Hadjiioannou, known artistically as Oh., is a Greek multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer whose music bridges progressive metal, avant-garde rock, and cinematic art ballads. Her genre-defying work has earned comparisons to Ayreon, Amogh Symphony, Igorrr, White Zombie, Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Kate Bush, while critics describe her sound as “metal-prog-fusion-trash-dream-haunting”, “shamanic and symphonic,” and “mind-expanding, spirit-expanding.”
She debuted in 2013 with the 24-minute epic Sleeping World, followed by Synemotion (2015), and the acclaimed EP Metallia (2018), which won 14 international film festival awards for its immersive visuals and fearless composition. A pioneer in visual music storytelling, Oh. has explored VR, WebGL, and now AI-generated film with her latest work “I Pray for Love” — a prayer in song and cinematic form. Known for crafting emotionally resonant, boundary-pushing art, she continues to merge myth, melody, and technology into one unified, visionary voice.
Catch her epic riffs and ballads on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.
Creative Workflow: Making “I Pray for Love”
The short film for *“I Pray for Love”* was crafted over 80 hours using OpenAI’s Sora, guided by more than 380 handwritten prompts written and refined by Oh. herself. Every image sequence was generated using only still photographs of the artist.
The film’s surrealist narrative emerged frame by frame through intentional, iterative direction. What you see in the final cut is not AI-generated imagination.
