New Album Set for Early 2026 Release, Just in Time for Cruise to the Edge and Prog on the Ranch
Melodic Revolution Records (MRR) is thrilled to announce the signing of acclaimed California progressive rock power trio Points North to its roster of world-class artists. Known for their energetic performances, melodic virtuosity, and dynamic instrumental compositions, Points North will release their as-yet-untitled new studio album in early 2026, perfectly timed for Cruise to the Edge and the band’s appearances at Prog on the Ranch.
Founded by guitarist Eric Barnett, bassist Uriah Duffy, and drummer Kevin Aiello, Points North has earned a devoted following through its blend of technical precision and uplifting melodies. Their sound is a fusion of classic prog influences with modern instrumental firepower, which has drawn comparisons to Rush, Dixie Dregs, and Joe Satriani, while maintaining a signature style all their own.

Before the album’s release, fans have a chance to experience the band live at ProgStock 2025, the Northeast’s premier progressive rock festival. Points North will perform on Saturday, October 11 at 11:30 AM in the Rivoli Theater in Rutherford, New Jersey, delivering a high-energy set that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.
