I first discovered Foster when he was announced for Cruise To The Edge 2026. After checking out his music on YouTube, I picked up his 2018 album “Windows In The Sky” and enjoyed it, so I gave his new four-track live album “A Nightfall Ritual” a listen and eventual purchase. Foster, a Canadian artist, combines prog rock, post rock, spoken word poetry, and drone soundscapes for a distinctive style like no one else. Recorded live in Cologne, Germany, the album runs over 45 minutes with three tracks from previous releases and one new song, “Up Till Dawn.” Foster’s passionate mix of spoken word and singing is matched by the band’s intense sound, and I am really looking forward to seeing these guys on CTTE next year. If you’re new to AHF, this album is a great introduction—highly recommended.
