“Willing to lose, is a song about being able to put everything on the line for you to try to achieve your dreams. It’s about something you’ve worked for for such a long time that you want to come true no matter what, and you’ll do anything to help achieve that dream that you have. I help relate this to my dream of being a musician, and how I want it more than anything in this world. I hope people can relate this to their lives and their dreams, and could possibly inspire them to follow their dreams even if the road looks tough ahead,” says Max.
Max Doud is an 18 year old singer/songwriter from Rochester, NY. As a former student of Elvio Fernandes’ Roc Star Academy, Max has been playing live music venues all over his hometown since the age of 13. Now, as a recording artist, Max’s original songs are now released world-wide.
Max is a high school graduate who plans on attending Belmont University in Nashville, TN next fall. He achieved a first degree black belt rank in Isshin-Ryu karate in 2015, and won the IWKA World Championship for kata in 2013. Max began to focus solely on music at the age of 11, when he was given the opportunity to sing with John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls at a private radio event. After that, he knew he wanted to spend his life with his guitar, singing on a stage.
In addition, Max was fortunate enough to open for national touring band, Hinder, in 2021 at The Rapid Theatre in Niagara Falls, NY.
Max’s soulful and uniquely raspy voice, often shocks those who come to see him perform, when they realize it is coming from an 18 year old. He has a wide range of musical influences from the Foo Fighters to Ed Sheeran. His music has an alternative, pop rock edge with a modern spin and is often compared to artists such as Matchbox 20 and 3 Doors Down.
