Danny Veras is a vocalist and guitar player. Born in Brazil, raised in Spain and France. Started his music career playing in hard rock bands in Barcelona at the early age of 11, then moved to Switzerland, to join the Prog Metal band ‘MT20”. He’s been living in the U.S. for over 20 years, where he spent many years playing in the clubs. In L.A. he joined the Prog band “7 Months “ and recorded vocals for their second album “In Time” (2009). He also played in the 3 piece band “L.A. Holeshot” before moving to Florida.
Danny Veras has joined forces with producer Paul Sabu since 2012. First, they started working on Danny’s first solo album ‘Never give Up’ that was released in 2014, with lead guitarist Thorsten Koehne (Eden’s Curse/ Sunstorm / Hardline), Pete Newdeck on drums (ex-Grim reaper/Paul DiAnno and the killers). In 2018 he released his second solo album , titled “Under the Influence”, where he invited several guitar players to guest. These include Howie Simon (Winger/ Talisman/ Jeff Scott Soto). Gary Schutt (Jeff Scott Soto), Chris Risola (Steelheart) and Tommy Lafferty (Voodoo X/ Crown of Thorns / Jean Beauvoir)
The new album ‘Can’t stop the Rock” is his 3rd solo effort, that also was co- written and produced by Paul Sabu. It’s all originals, very melodic and catchy! The title track was co-written with the late Frankie Banali. On board are Linkan Andersson on guitar (Secret Society, Methods of Mayhem, Tony Mills), Barry Sparks on bass (Dokken, Michael Schenker, UFO…Yngwie). And of course Sabu putting his magic touch on it!
