Klone have been one of the brightest lights in prog rock to come out of France in recent years, and this is another very strong album from the band. Their style has evolved over the years, but they still straddle that line between metal and melody. They are never super heavy, but their music always has a subtle power about it. Melodic and ethereal, but they can still provide some crunch when needed. The album clocks in at around 40 minutes, so it does not outstay it’s welcome. Highlights include opening track “Interlaced” and the album’s longest track, “Spring.” I am not sure that this album quite reaches the heights of my favorite from them, “le Grand Voyage,” but it comes mighty close. Recommended.
