Yesterday, the nominations for the Spellemannpris, aka the Norwegian Grammy, was announced, and we are pleased to see that Koldbrann was nominated in the metal/hard rock category.
KOLDBRANN’s latest album «Ingen Skånsel» has been nominated for the prestigious Spellemannprisen, aka the Norwegian Grammy, in the metal/hard rock category. The Spellemannpris-show will be held at Clarion Hotel the Hub in Oslo on Thursday the 24th of April. More info about Spellemann can be found here: https://spellemann.no/
Here is what KOLDBRANN themselves had to say about it:
We are thrilled to be nominated for Spellemannprisen, and in great company with WHOREDOM RIFE, TRELLDOM and SIBIIR! Ingen skånsel to the masses..!
Fans of Norwegian Black Metal know that if you mention the name KOLDBRANN you are going to get a band that is respectful of its traditional True Norwegian Black Metal roots, but one that goes its own way, eschewing any trends, in order to deliver a varied, dynamic and uncompromising sound. From the raw and fearsome, to the drifting and atmospheric.
KOLDBRANN’s live appearances have earned the band a well-deserved notoriety, and 2025 will see the lineup of Mannevond on Vocals, Kvass and Voidar on Guitars, Leonid Melnikov on Drums, and John Grave on live Bass continue their festival raid, appearing in Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, as well as a first-time performance in Romania, with more to come!
Dark Essence Records recently released the single ‘I Unaturens Vold’ from the album, along with a video by Necrolust Productions (WHOREDOM RIFE, 1349, FURZE etc.), which was filmed at last year’s Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, where KOLDBRANN played in front of a capacity crowd at the John Dee venue.
