Nashville metal veterans Disarray have recently released Blood Drive… Live!, a seven track soundboard recording that offers a glimpse into their five week American tour with GWAR in the spring of 2002.

Recorded at the legendary New Daisy Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee, Blood Drive… Live! captures the raw intensity of the band on their southern home turf.  Disarray frontman Charlie Bonnet III reflects on the tour, stating “We shared a booking agent with Dave Brockie’s side band Dave Brockie Experience, and had done a few dozen shows with them.  Dave took an interest in our band and offered to produce an album for us (the critically acclaimed In The Face Of The Enemy record) at the GWAR headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.  Recording that album ultimately led to us being a support band on the GWAR ‘Blood Drive’ tour the following year.”

Although Disarray had done hundreds of shows prior, it was the “Blood Drive” tour that taught the band the realities of extensive roadwork.  Bonnet states “Anything that could go wrong did.  The van broke down twice.  We had a wheel bearing blow out on the trailer.  Some of the crowds would flip us off, throw stuff at the stage, and spit at us.  It was really brutal at times.  We were making a hundred bucks a night and sleeping in the van, but I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything.  In our minds we had made it.  We were fearless and trying to take over the world.  Blood Drive… Live! is an awesome trip down memory lane for me.”
