The idea for Worlds Beyond came about in the summer of 2016, when guitarist Tijmen started writing songs that needed to be both powerful and melodic. Six months later, the first rehearsal took place in Ghent, Belgium, with singer Valerie, drummer Catoo, bassist Ewoud and keyboardist Robbe.
After several months of rehearsals and a try-out show, the band sought additional members. With violinist Jakob and new drummer Wout, the lineup was complete. The rehearsal space moved from Ghent to the Bandcave in Tielt, an event venue owned by drummer Wout.
Three demo singles were recorded in late 2017 (Fallen Star, Am I Lost, Ice King), after which Worlds Beyond was able to play several gigs in 2018. Social media presence was built up, and the band continued to work on new songs.
Two years after the band formed, there were enough songs to fill an album. So Worlds Beyond began production on their debut album, “Symphony of Dawn.” Quite an undertaking for an independent DIY band, but one that the members tackled with enthusiasm.
Recordings took place in the fall of 2019 at various locations. The original music was taken to the next level with new harmonies in guitar, violin & vocals, as well as special effects and a digital symphonic orchestra.
To keep the production affordable while guaranteeing a professional result, a crowdfunding campaign was launched, with overwhelming success: Worlds Beyond collected more than 150% of the originally targeted 2000 euros.
Not letting the corona crisis in 2020 get them down, the band used these months online to prepare a full release campaign in-house, including 4 music videos. Single releases started in the fall of 2020, with the release of their debut album Symphony of Dawn on December 12

Although the preparation, recording and release of the debut album Symphony of Dawn could be accomplished despite the corona crisis, touring to promote the album was plagued by lockdowns and canceled events. Almost a year from date, Oct. 8 and 9, 2021, Worlds Beyond was able to keep their release shows going.
In 2022, the band focused fully on performing and developing new music, a period that was both inspiring and productive.
2023 marked the beginning of an exciting new project: their second studio album, Rhapsody Of Life. Recording began early that year, and from the first moment, the band members knew that this album would hold a special place in their hearts. They took ample time to bring each song to perfection. For two years they worked intensively to refine arrangements, lyrics and melodies to create an album that they are not only proud of, but that they know will touch their fans.
In addition to the work on the album, Worlds Beyond experienced another highlight in 2024 with the release of the music video for One.
Now the band is on the verge of a new milestone: the release of Rhapsody Of Life on Jan. 31, 2025. The concept album celebrates human existence, with each song recounting a specific experience that is part of collective life. The album culminates in the title track, which asks the ultimate question about life.
To celebrate this special occasion, Worlds Beyond is hosting three exclusive release concerts on Feb. 28, March 1 and March 2, 2025. These concerts will take place in collaboration with the symphonic orchestra Zanglust and promise to be a unique spectacle. With this collaboration, the band is taking their music to the next level and presenting Rhapsody Of Life in a grand and compelling way. It promises to be an experience no one wants to miss.
The coming years promise even more highlights, and Worlds Beyond looks forward to experiencing new musical adventures together with their fans.
