Alameda, Calif. — Little Steven’s Underground Garage, DJ Sid Presley, Faction Brewing, and Satay By The Bay SF invite you and the family to step into a vibrant and eclectic world where local food, craft beer, live music, and vintage collectors converge for a full day of entertainment.
On Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Faction Brewing grounds at 2501 Monarch St., in Alameda, will transform into a bustling outdoor marketplace with beautiful Bay views and a backdrop of San Francisco in the distance.
Attendees can browse several aisles filled with vinyl records, rare music memorabilia and instruments, vintage clothing, tiki and Hawaiiana collectibles, handmade jewelry, one-of-a-kind literary finds, hard-to-find videos, and much more from over 100 vendors onsite. There’s something for everyone’s tastes and interests.
Adding to the day’s festivities is a stacked lineup that includes performances by The Tigerellas (featuring members of The Pandoras from L.A.), Th’ Losin Streaks (Sacramento), Kepi Ghoulie (Sacramento), Soraia (Philly), The Strings Aflame (Mexico), Frankie & The Pool Boys (SF), Nashville Honeymoon (Berkeley), and a special acoustic set by Lowell Levinger aka “Banana” from The Youngbloods and Little Steven & the Disciples Of Soul.
Let’s not forget about the delectable aromas from our local food trucks and vendors ready to serve you! Guests can indulge in a variety of delicious menu items from Satay By The Bay SF serving halal chicken satay skewers served with thick and flavorful peanut sauce, spicy chili crab sandwiches, new garlic fries topped with tender crab meat and more. Other must-have bites include D’Grobak’s popular Indonesian street food, Bonito Poke’s fresh Hawaiian-style poke bowls, and Authentic India’s family recipes for chicken tikka masala fusion bowls and veggie “naanviches.” To satisfy sweet cravings, stop by Sweet Pipers’ for ube and buko (young coconut meat) custard pies and Crazy Block Cheesecakes’ thick New York-style desserts.
Admission to the Alameda Rock & Roll Flea Market is $5 at the entrance with children 12 and under free. It’s the perfect event for families, music enthusiasts, foodies, and shoppers alike to come together for a day of community, entertainment, and discovery.
